How to play Patches Game
- 1.
Drag across the grid to draw a rectangle. Each rectangle must include exactly one clue cell.
- 2.
A Square clue means the rectangle must be square (width equals height).
- 3.
A Wide clue means the rectangle must be wider than it is tall.
- 4.
A Tall clue means the rectangle must be taller than it is wide.
- 5.
A number on a clue sets the exact cell count. A Freeform clue accepts any rectangle.
- 6.
Fill every cell. The grid is solved when every cell belongs to exactly one patch.

About Patches Game
Patches Game is a free spatial logic puzzle in the style of LinkedIn Patches, which builds on Shikaku, the Japanese "divide-the-grid" puzzle. You split the whole grid into rectangular patches: each patch holds exactly one clue and matches what that clue says about its shape (Square, Wide, Tall or Freeform) and, when it shows a number, its exact cell count. Unlimited Mode makes fresh 6 × 6, 8 × 8 and 10 × 10 boards on demand, and the catalog holds 600 solver-verified boards, named and sorted by size and difficulty.
