8 × 8 nearly doubles the puzzle surface. Boards split into 8 to 16 patches, so expect longer deduction chains, more mixed-size patches, and the occasional long wide or tall rectangle that forces you to work from the edges inward.
If you're warming up, start on the 6 × 6 boards and work up from there.
